About Us
Human Services is a division of the Whatcom County Health Department. Human Services staff work with county advisory boards, service providers, consumers, and other members of the general public in order to assess the Whatcom County community need for various human service programs.Based on those needs assessments, funds from state, federal, and local sources are used to contract for services in the following areas: Developmental Disabilities Program, Mental Health Program, Substance Abuse Program Substance Abuse Prevention, Victim Impact Program, Tobacco Prevention.
